Jenna is thrilled to be joining Wellness Foundation as a Jumpstart 360 Coach. She first discovered the power of plant-based nutrition through watching the documentary Forks Over Knives in 2012 at the recommendation of a close friend. That moment started her own journey in plant-based eating which helped increase her energy and focus for studying to become a physician assistant, heal her relationship with body image and food, and optimize her athletic performance as a D1 collegiate runner. Since then, Jenna has become a family medicine physician assistant with over 4 years of clinical experience addressing the root cause of illness and helping countless patients improve their habits to reverse their diabetes, reduce their blood pressure, lose weight, and sometimes even discontinue previously necessary medications. She has an ever-growing passion for lifestyle medicine, which is defined as evidence-based, therapeutic interventions centered around nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and social connections to prevent and treat chronic disease. Jenna holds a master's degree from Duquesne University and has completed a Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. When not working, you can find Jenna running on the trails and dirt roads around Western Massachusetts, cuddling dogs, growing veggies in her garden, cooking plant-based meals, practicing yoga, or dancing around to 80s pop music.
